It is quite a busy site.
In less than 2 or 3 weeks we've gained about 150 members (give or take a few). Now that the site's been down, it seems a lot of people are starting to show a lot of interest in the site.
But anywho, here's what happened when I ran that SQL query:

Did you not get the same error when you ran that script that I posted as it is checking and repairing all tables.
It would seem that you do not have "All" privileges on the database with that username.
You really should have. If you set up that user with that database yourself then you should go back and select "all" privileges.
If it will not let you then you will need to contact your host and ask them to set it so.
You could at the same time inform them that there are some issues with the database server as this should not keep happening.

How would I check if it's set to All privileges? And then how would I change it afterward?
Sorry I'm sounding rather noobish. I'm still quite new to all this. D: |

OK - easy way is to create a new user with all privileges.
Log in to Cpanel and find

Click that I have circled.
Now towards the bottom of the screen that opens look for

Create a new user by adding a new name and password.
Now add that user to your boards database.
Now download config.php and change the username and password to the new one. Upload it back to the server.
Be sure to tick the "All" privileges box.

I don't have anything like that on the MySQL Databases page. D: |

How strange - that page is for the purpose of creating databases and users and assigning one to the other.
Can you do a screen shot of that page?

I contacted the Freehostia team and they said that was just a part of their free plan.
We're going to transfer to our own domain and a paid hosting plan very soon, so hopefully I'll be able to fix it then. :3
Edit: Okay, it's fixed. Just had to wait for Freehostia to reset the permissions. :3
Thank you all so much! I don't know what I would have done without you! |
