Hi,
I am searching for a good mod that shows my forum in a "stripped" way on mobile phones.
Any idea?
I am using phpBBToGo but there is very much hardcoded changes to do when adding a new forum to the board.

What about using RSS-feeds for forum? Mine contains the latest 40 topics in the forum and should be easy to browse.

Nah, I have many members who are travelling around Scandinavia, they want to use the forum in "forum-style".

I have looked at this and have a question.
Is there any environment requirement for Mobile Online Proxy?
MOProxy relies on Client URL Library Functions(cURL). Your PHP should support cURL/cURL should be compiled into PHP.
Does phpBB have cURL?

The way I see it (http://www.php.net/manual/en/intro.curl.php), it depends on your server, not on phpBB. I suppose that if your server is running PHP 4.0.2 or up, it should work. Maybe ask your web host for confirmation.

Today one person said that simpler mobiles have bad browsers and if they install the Opera browser they will have no problems at all with forums. Do you know if this is true?

I tried to install Mobile Online phpBB v1.11.2 on a test server with PHP-Nuke with phpbb2 and there were instructions for that in the package. However, when I tried to access with an ordinary browser like Firefox on my PC I got blank page. Is only a mobile phone needed to browse this app or should it funktion with ordinary browser?

As it says in the Mod's ReadME page, it won't work on regular browsers/computers. What you should do to use this is set up a subdomain on your domain (something like mobile.example.com, m.example.com, etc.) and install it on that.
Now go read this page. It will tell you how to have your pages redirect users to your mobile version if they're on a mobile device.
Then you should be set.
