That's interesting Holger, I use original Sphider slightly modded.
Although I'm quite sure Sphider will not be very useful on JLA's board, it's too big, Sphinx will be a better bet for it.
I would also lilke to try Sphinx, hopefully someone shows up that can explain how to integrate it into phpBB2.

I like Sphider plus, but I will give Sphinx a try!

I've had the chance to install Sphinx, archive my posts_text table and do some basic queries on it for test for speed. The speed of indexing and results is very good compared to phpBB2 - if/when we can get this up and going properly we're in for some decent performance gains icon_smile.gif
