Post subject: Private Message email notification problem

OK I moved to a new hosting company and everything seems ok
but we a user gets a new pm they are not notified via email now.
Mass email does seem to work and the email account that is associated with in the admin section does work

I am stumped at this point now

Thanks
Keith

Hi,

Are you using SMTP or the default mail function in phpBB?

Are there any error messages displayed? If my memory serves me correctly the email is sent when the PM is sent, so does the user receive a mail error when submitting a PM to somebody who has email notifications turned on?

If some people are receiving notifications and others aren't it may be a problem with the individuals email account. It may be worth checking the spam or junk folder to see if the emails are ending up in the spam folder.

I guess Mark means that the users that don't receive certain emails from your board should check in their spam/junk folders. It's not you that should check this.
