Post subject: Request asstiance with a mod (please)

Hi Iam trying to get a mod to work with the latest version of easymod but its not working, when I run it through easymod it installs ok but does not show up in the configuration panel nor can you no longer post messages on the forum the mod is called wrap messages which can be located here

http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/3912

this mod keeps messages from running clear across the screen
I've used it before with a older version of easymod and even then it was a little tricky to install Iam no good at doing this manually does someone know how I may fix this or if there is another mod I may use

The version of phpbb I am using is 2023

Update I tried writing the oringal mod arthor but the email does not work
and I tried different versions of easy mod and they did not work
I do not know what I did before to get it to work

inclose is a screen shot of before and after you create a test post and click on it
or if that does not work here is the links
the after is what you get when you click on test

Send me the file templates/Subsilver/viewtopic_body.tpl to j.hatch@tiscali.co.uk

OR
If you have not already installed any mods then say so and I will edit the version that I have already.

There are no changes made to any of the Admin folder files. Therefore this is not a mod whose parameters can be changed via the configuration options in the A.C.P.

Just wanted to add .02cents here and an observation after doing this for a awhile

We suggest not wasting your time with easymod. It is much better to manually implement mod's yourself. You learn more about the code, find errors the original mod author might have made and gain a better understanding of how your site works by doing this.

Best of luck in your modding!

I have never used Easymod ... it is the same waste of time as the automatic updater of phpBB3.

I've never used it either. It took a while before I even knew it existed, and as JLA mentioned, I preferred doing it myself and slowly learning how the software works. I don't regret it one bit icon_smile.gif
