Dear fellow members,

I just want to say thank you for not giving up on phpbb2. I have always loved working with phpbb2 and will continue doing so just like you.

I enjoy installing, modding, and publishing with phpbb2 compared to other code. We have the option, the code, the knowledge if we all stick together and continue on.

I just wanted to say thank you to the creators of this board and all of you for continuing on the legacy that should have never been forgotten.

A monkey can hit an install button, an Operator can manage the machine.

Keep on "Operators". Learn, grow, and always improve!

Hello, welcome here.

I am a bit confused by your Poll question. icon_smile.gif

What did you mean it to say?

I removed the poll. I just meant if you wanted to write raw code, edit files, or dont care about php mysql at all. You also made my welcome post look lame. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi Jeremy,
Welcome aboard. If you look at joining dates you will see that some have been here a long time - even before support for phpBB2 ended.
Some here probably just because they enjoy it's relatively easy use compared to the complexity of the phpBB3 admin interface.
Others like myself have invested so much time getting their board just how they want it and can not convert without losing a lot of the extra functions we have added.

Thank you Jim!

You just gave me hope, I am glad someone else enjoyed my message and what I was trying to say.

I had a poll question, but I will just ask you; are you an editor or a programmer within the phpbb2 php and my sql?

I am looking to edit existing code and improve upon the idea's and share them with you all.

Hope to grow within the community and have discussions on features and security issues as time goes on.

Also, we need to archive what is left at phpbbhacks.com, seems they are losing code and templates online and the page load is horrible. If you know the Admins, please tell them to gather and publish, WE NEED THE ARCHIVES SAVED PLEASE!!!

If not, we will have to take it own hands, but I wish the site would continue to save our phpbb2 code and templates for the future. Enforce a quailty of install notes, function, edit level, and version sorting. If they are up to the challenge!!!

Not a programmer here - just an enthusiast.
I think you will find that between us we have all the published and validated mods and styles and without checking the link in the last post suspect that is what is being pointed to.
