Post subject: different email message for usergroups

Is there a Mod to send a different email message to each different Usergroup when members join the groups?

example:

when a member joins usergroup A - you get the email message.... Hello Welcome to the A people

and when member joins the usergroup B - you would get the email message ... Thanks you are now a member of the B support Team

Hope somebody understands what I am looking for.......

Gaz

I don't know if it exists, but it should be pretty simple to make.

In groupcp.php, that e-mail is triggered on lines 570-590. Line 577 sets the e-mail template that is used to send the notification. What you would need to do is replace that line with a conditional verification that sets the template based on the group id. For example:

REPLACE
Code:
$emailer->use_template('group_added', $row['user_lang']);

WITH
Code:
// Custom notifications MOD
if ($group_id == 2) { $emailer->use_template('group_added_2', $row['user_lang']); }
elseif ($group_id == 3) { $emailer->use_template('group_added_3', $row['user_lang']); }
else { $emailer->use_template('group_added', $row['user_lang']); }

Then of course, you need to add the corresponding custom templates to language/lang_english/email/.
