Post subject: DB Backup Exclude Tables MOD not working for me

I've just installed DB Backup Exclude Tables on my board, I tested it and it's not working. icon_sad.gif
I've tryed to contact Phaxius (MOD author) but he has no website and the email he provided (vital_spice [at] users [dot] sourceforge.net) seems strange, probably no good anymore.

Maybe some of you could give me a hand with this one. icon_smile.gif
Here are the changes for admin/admin_db_utilities.php:
Code:
FIND
$additional_tables = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['additional_tables'])) ? $HTTP_POST_VARS['additional_tables'] : ( (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['additional_tables'])) ? $HTTP_GET_VARS['additional_tables'] : "" );

AFTER, ADD

$exclude_tables = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['exclude_tables'])) ? $HTTP_POST_VARS['exclude_tables'] : ( (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['exclude_tables'])) ? $HTTP_GET_VARS['exclude_tables'] : "" );

FIND

$drop = (!empty($HTTP_POST_VARS['drop'])) ? intval($HTTP_POST_VARS['drop']) : ( (!empty($HTTP_GET_VARS['drop'])) ? intval($HTTP_GET_VARS['drop']) : 0 );

AFTER, ADD
if(!empty($exclude_tables))
{
// if there are multiple tables to exclude
if(ereg(",", $exclude_tables))
{
$exclude_tables = split(",", $exclude_tables);
for($i=0; $i < count($tables); $i++)
{
for($j=0; $j < count($exclude_tables); $j++)
{
if($tables[$i] == $exclude_tables[$j])
{
continue;
}
else
{
$tempTables[] = $tables[$i];
}
}
}
unset($tables);
$tables = $tempTables;
}
else
{
// if it is only one table to exclude
for($i=0; $i < count($tables); $i++)
{
if($tables[$i] == $exclude_tables)
{
continue;
}
else
{
$tempTables[] = $tables[$i];
}
}
unset($tables);
$tables = $tempTables;
}
}

FIND

"L_ADDITIONAL_TABLES" => $lang['Additional_tables'],

AFTER, ADD

"L_EXCLUDE_TABLES"=> $lang['Exclude_tables'],

FIND

$template->assign_vars(array(
"META" => '<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=' . append_sid("admin_db_utilities.$phpEx?perform=backup&additional_tables=" . quotemeta($additional_tables) . "&backup_type=$backup_type&drop=1&backupstart=1&gzipcompress=$gzipcompress&startdownload=1") . '">',

INLINE FIND

&additional_tables=" . quotemeta($additional_tables) .

INLINE AFTER, ADD

"&exclude_tables=" . quotemeta($exclude_tables) .

The changes for language/lang_english/lang_admin.php and templates/subSilver/admin/db_utils_backup_body.tpl are irrelevant.

P.S.: Before installing this MOD, I've installed ultima528's Complete Database Backup MOD wich seems similar to this one, but tested and working.

I use this mod for backups. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=359433
Think it does what you need!

edit: With this mod you can take backups from you ACP and download directly. It splits up each session so you dont get timeouts. I uncheck the searchtables because its no point backing up(you can rebuld the search with Rebuild Search mod).
After trying some mods this is my favorite! icon_wink.gif

I agree Holger, since I use mysqldumper I have no more need for Phpmyadmin, dumper is the perfect tool for everything database related.
