Once you are into the right database, you can select to run SQL queries from the top menu in the right frame (I think it's the "SQL" button, but not sure). Just paste the mod's SQL commands in there and it will perform the modifications.

OK, I tried to do the two sql querries and it seems as if those things have already been added, (I had a smiles mod some time back, but lost it during a move) -

So does that mean that step is done?

I have already uploaded the four .gifs

Just have the 5 files to edit/upload -

(please tell if the sql portion done)

OK,

Looks like you're on the right track. From the pic you posted I can only tell that the second query the MOD install gives had already been added in the past. If you got a similar message after executing the first query than the sql part has been done. icon_wink.gif

If the gifs don't dhoe you didn´t place them in the right place.
Make sure they are in the right folder(s) for all the style(s) you're using.

Do you have them in subSilver as well? I have not seen the code but that might do something.

Yes I do, (and I noticed that the link points to subsilver, not to the template blacksoul which is my default) but the tiny gifs not showing up is only a small problem -
The bigger problem is that it is not working. The mod has taken control of the smilies, but I cannot move them around.
It took me a long time yesterday to install the mod, and it is important to me that it works. thanks New Guy

As far as I can see, changing the img sources in templates/your_template/admin/smile_list_body.tpl to "../images/arrow_top.gif" (for instance) would fix the images, if I'm not mistaken.

I can't really help you for the rest, though. Does any error message display? What exactly happens when you try to move them?

Nothing happens when I try to move them, no error message either.
Should I replace any reference to subsilver with blacksoul, (my default)?

Keep in mind that I'm just guessing, but if I'm not mistaken, just remove "templates/subSilver/" from the images' sources so you are left with something like "../images/image.gif". This effectively goes up one directory above the one containing smile_list_body.tpl, where you put the images.

If it does not work, since you said you pasted the images to both templates, I don't know what else the problem could be.

I don't know diddly chit about this stuff, but I can tell you right away that there is some sort of conflict with files calling for items in subsilver, when the only theme we use is blacksoul -

Can anyone please answer my question about editing out the word subsilver, and replacing it with blacksoul? -

If the images are in both folders anyway it shouldn't make any difference, but there is no risk in trying it as far as I know.
