Post subject: Adding "waiting" spinner to PHPBB2

Anyone know of a good easy wait to add a little "waiting" spinner (like the one on the iPhone, etc) to PHPBB2 as pages are transitioning, uploading content, waiting for search results, etc?

Thanks

This is a feature of some browsers. IE, IIRC.

What I am more speaking of is something like a DHTML or similar spinner that would appear mid-page say while the page is waiting for a response to posting, uploading an attachment, picture, song, etc. Kind of a page transition effect, etc too.

I think that you'll either need to look into "page transitions," which is a browser specific feature, or do something fancy with Javascript, such as AJAX page loading.

Would you happen to know a specific mod or solution for this?

Thank You

This should be of some help

Basically, this is done with AJAX. I have a system sort of like this running on my site and it works wonders.

Though I can't really explain much of it. One of the other developers added it into our AppleJAX, not me. I don't know anything about AJAX. XD

Was hoping for a mod already integrated. I believe I saw something like this out in dev back in 05 or so.
