Post subject: I've got a few questions.

I have used PHPBB 2 in the past. I have a few question about it.
1. How do I make sub-boards?
2. How do I appoint moderators to specific forums?
3. Can I put custom code such as style sheets, html and javascript in phpbb2?
4. How does one embed flash videos such as youtube videos into posts in phphbb2?

1) This requires a mod (modification). There are several subforum mods out there. I have attached one for you.
2) When you have a reasonable number of active members look at which forums they are posting into and how they post and interact with other users. Ask one that you get to know to fit the bill.
3) Yes you can as the template files of phpBB2 are just html. Do not allow posting in html as that is not safe but as templates it is the norm.
4) You can embed Youtube by once again installing a mod. In this case it is best to install two mods. One is for multi bbcodes and then the next Youtube specific.

I have added the two mods. Open the zips and then open the files with a text editor such as Notepad or Crimson Editor or Notepad Lie etc etc

1. I'm using Simple Subforums too, so I recommened it, but it only adds one level of categorization.

2. To add moderators, go to the admin panel and either add permissions to the user or create a group for moderators with the permissions you want for all moderators and add the appropriate users to the group.

1. If you only want one Level of Sub forums, then Simple Subforums (posted in #2) or Über Sub-Forums (download here) are the the best choices for you.
For more than one Level of deepness, you should consider to install either the Categories Hierarchy v2.1.6 (very complex MOD, difficult to install) or try the Sub Forums + (see attachment), which is easier to install.

The last one mentioned uses a simple, but clever method to create unlimited levels of forums: it includes the whole (before modified) index.php in (modified) viewforum.php, so its more compatible with MODS that modify index.php and viewforum.php than any other of the Sub forums MODs.
