well, then I have no clue
thank you anyway,
i give up with this, no problem about changing that value on phpmyadmin, if needed.
most importantly is that it works by user's panel specifically and it does
as for the admin panel, I will try to put a stone over it |

Are you caching this information? Is the cache being updated? _________________ phpBBDoctor Blog |

I checked here, and I have reset the board width to 800 pixels. The value "took" and showed up again when I re-queried the board configuration information.
If you can post your admin_board.php code as a zip or text file somewhere I will download it and see if I can figure out what the issue is. _________________ Long Live phpBB2 |

I appreciate the help,
OK, I try to attach my admin_board.php,
Anyway, about the cache... I dont know if that value is cached, but the cache in my board is working, as I can see some files are generated inside the /cache folder...
I tried to use the attachment function here, to attach the file, but it doesnt work for me
so I uploaded my admin_board.php ----> HERE <---- |

What's different between your file and mine is that my file would seem to have an error, but it's working. The config_name value here on this site is "default_board_width" and not "phpbbdoctor_default_board_width" so I need to do more checking. _________________ phpBBDoctor Blog |

I had to make that same change to get this working,
default_board_width
had to become
phpbbdoctor_default_board_width _________________ phpBB2 will never die, I hope! |

I need to install the MOD as written in the install notes on a clean board and see what happens. _________________ phpBBDoctor Blog |

the funny thing is that even if I make the change above, in the file I attached
the mod still doesn't work for me...
maybe its something related to the database, or php version... or I have a restriction over the usage of "%" symbol through admin (it may be possible as I have tons of mods installed over years) |
